Performing Arts Houston came to us with an existing site however was in need of a more robust performing arts ticketing system to power the ticket purchase, donations, and memberships section of their website. Performing Arts Houston selected Spektrix as their performing arts ticketing provider to achieve these functionalities and requested our help to facilitate the API integrations. Additionally, they required assistance to update and optimize the user flow on various pages to accommodate the new ticketing system.

All of these requirements needed to take place while their new website was in construction (presently still underway), and so a development server was set up to build things behind the scenes.

The Spektrix API is very robust, but can be time consuming to connect, configure, and deploy each feature and function it has to offer. Our proposed solution was to utilize MaestroPress, a WordPress plugin developed in-house specifically for such Spektrix integrations. After a discovery phase working together with the client, we were able to identify all of the Spektrix features required, confirm ideas on placement and layout, and confirm that MaestroPress was going to be the solution to achieve these goals.

We were able to build an entire functioning site on our staging servers for client review utilizing MaestroPress to facilitate the Spektrix integration. Building on a staging environment allowed us to test and confirm all features, functions, and layouts with the client, so we were able to launch the newly improved site with confidence.

The new website allowed users to create accounts, purchase tickets, make donations, and subscribe to memberships seamlessly integrating Spektrix with their WordPress website.

Since the launch of the updated website, we’ve been happy to continue to provide website hosting, ongoing support, optimizations, and updates with this amazing organization.
