What We Did

This virtual exhibit highlights the history of snow avalanches and their impact on people and nature in Canada, and reveals the secrets hidden within the stillness of the snowpack and the fury of a snow slide. Learn about heartbreaking avalanche tragedies, follow the development of Canadian research in snow science and discover how an avalanche is triggered. Go behind the front lines
of avalanche safety and find an army of professionals working for everyone who lives, works, travels, or seeks leisure in avalanche country.

Built to robust governmental mandated specifications for design, content, and layout development, the site was developed and rigorously tested to produce a highly attractive, easy to navigate, stable, and accessible website on an important topic. Built to enable the client to update easily after launch, the website can always house the latest in avalanche data for years to come.
